Bits & Pieces |
For the foreseeable future I'll be following a research blog format. I've spent the last few months reading every old emulsion book I can get my hands on, at the same time as I've perfected two paper emulsions, two dry plate emulsions and my silvergum color separation profiles (the definition of 'perfection' being something that fits my precise personal taste :) It's become too easy leave it at that and just make pretty pictures. So, it's time to shake things up and take chances again. I have rounded out my collection of chemicals, including nitric and hydrochloric acids, added a small addition to my studio so that I have more capacity for workflow overlap, and collected more books than makes sense. Full speed ahead. In a couple of months, I'll take a look at the information that's coming together and try to see how the pieces fit and relate. |
